Hello,
I have a green card and can apply for citizenship in a couple of years. Right now I travel back and forth to Russia with my Russian passport and my green card without any problems. The question is, when I get an American passport, will I need a visa to go to Russia?
Thanks!

You will have to be invited to go back to Russia each time. I have to do that.
My wife who is still a Russian citizen has no problem traveling so far. We are planning to go to Russia in a few weeks and I had to get an invitation from a family member. Good luck! Dennis

You will need a visa if you use an American passport. My understanding, however, and I may be wrong is that the Russian Consulate will be happy to have you continue with your Russian citizenship. However, you should check with the US State Dept. if a dula use of passports is legal under American law. Good Luck, ALLAN SAMSON
