im a foreign student ...what should i do?

Dear Mr. Samson,
Im a holder of J -1 student visa which has been expired almost for 3 monhts now... what should i do now , how can i get a green card and how long do i have to live here to apply for the citizenship?...yep im really confused here..


i know that i got excpelled from my University back home...so yeah i have no intention going back at all...besides i know how hard it will be to get back here.

I also have a friend here whose J - 1 student visa is still valid...but he doesnt wanna go back home...what should he do to stay here?

Once you are out of status in any category such as J-1 there is no way you can changwe to another category in the United States except if you marry an American citizen. The law is hard. Good Luck, ALLAN SAMSON
