Dear Mr. Samson,
I have a friend that left the former USSR - Russia in 1990. They are looking to deport her back to her country, but immigration officers have been unsuccessful in re-issuing her new citizensships, since she has terminated her old USSR citizenships upon arrival. What are the rules to this law? Will Russia re-issue citizenships to people that lived in the former USSR? She was born in Russia, and lived there for 7 years. Thank you for your help and time.
