A friend told me today that during a recent pro-Israel rally at SFSU in San Francisco, there was a curious incident. A nearby Palestinian rally participants got a bit too close for comfort, so Tatyana Menaker, screamed out at them, "Go back and F**k you camel." As a result she was arrested along with two similarly verbal Palestinians and was charged with perpetrating a hate crime - a very serious charge. In response members of the San Francisco Russian-speaking Jewish community are currently gathering signatures for a petition to drop the charges against Menaker.
I have searched the Jewish Bulletin, but have not been able to find any related materials. Can anyone shed any additional light on this curious news bit?
