A friend told me today that during a recent pro-Israel rally at SFSU in San Francisco, there was a curious incident. A nearby Palestinian rally participants got a bit too close for comfort, so Tatyana Menaker, screamed out at them, "Go back and F**k you camel." As a result she was arrested along with two similarly verbal Palestinians and was charged with perpetrating a hate crime - a very serious charge. In response members of the San Francisco Russian-speaking Jewish community are currently gathering signatures for a petition to drop the charges against Menaker.

I have searched the Jewish Bulletin, but have not been able to find any related materials. Can anyone shed any additional light on this curious news bit?

Amazingly Palestinians knew well who would come to the rally. They prepared signs saying “Jews Go Back to Russia”. One Jewish woman from Santa Cruse told me that Russians were the most active participants in the rally. She thinks that it is because of a “Refusenic Spirit” and struggle in the former Soviet Union.
