Dear Jake!

We live in the town of Tiberias where the bombed bus in which 18 Jews were
burnt in alive, was heading. (Soldiers living in the Tel-Aviv area having to
go the NOrthern Command base in Tzfat have to change buses in Tiberias). I
am outraged that its "business as usual" in my country. nobody cried out,
nobody protested, nobody, when Sharon took one of his budget-killing and
unnecessary trips to the USA to further the cause of a socalled "Palestinian
State" (I favor the "JOrdan is Palestine" approach), tried to ground him and
said to him: What you are doing is crazy! You are saying to the world: there
are people in our country whom we allow to kill us and, because they are so
good at it, we will give them more than one third of our hand-towel size
country.
i am glad that at least in America there are some Jews who do cry out and
who do not agree with the way things are going.
please understand me correctly: i am not advocating violence against any
nation, but i think that murders should not be rewarded by a state for
burning alive Jews, even if they are in uniform. our soldiers are our sons
(i have a son in the orthodox battalion of the IDF), our husbands and our
fathers. and the age-old blessing of Jews has always been for life and for
peace.
i hope our combined outcries will move something somewhere and we can soon
live in saner times.
