Motorola manual has service in Palestine and NOT Israel

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Yesterday, I bought a Motorola. On page 18 of the instructions guide, I find a list of countries where Motorola is represented and a customer service is provided and I can’t believe what I see: I can’t find Israel but there is an unknown country on this list name “Palestine”.

Contrary to you, I am not making any political statement regarding the necessity or not of a Palestinian state next to a Democratic State of Israel.

I just noticed your deliberate wish to remove Israel from the world map in order to replace it by a Palestinian State.

As I was already busy, I checked your website where Israel is also not mentioned in your “Consumer – choose a country” list.

I can assure you that this letter will be sent around the world.

I am writing to let you know that as a result of the "mistake" described in the following article millions of customers worldwide compelled to boycott Motorola products. I personally will not buy any Motorola product until a person responsible for this "mistake" is working for your company.

Motorola извинилась за то, что назвала Палестину страной
В пятницу производящая мобильные телефоны американская компания Motorola принесла свои извинения за то, что в инструкциях упоминает Палестину в качестве страны, сообщает Reuters.
В заявлении компании говорится, что один из работников случайно занес Палестину в список стран, где есть сервисные центры компании, и удалил оттуда Израиль. В списке значился адрес и номер сервис-центра Motorola, находящегося в Рамалле. Израиль не вошел в список только потому, что на его территории нет центра Motorola.

«Motorola признает, что ссылка на «Палестину» и исключение Израиля были серьезными, но случайными ошибками. Motorola немедленно осознала всю деликатность этой ситуации и приняла срочные меры по устранению недоразумения», - говорится в заявлении компании.

В новой версии всех инструкций «Палестина» будет заменено на «Палестинская автономия», а номер центра в Израиле – добавлен. Motorola узнала об этой ошибке в декабре, после того как офис получил по электронной почте сотни писем с жалобами. (from Lenta.ru)
