If my friend is out of the country and his car is just sitting there doing nothing, can I take it and use it if it is not insured? I have insurance on my own car, will it cover me?

I think so...
or better call your insurance agent and ask....
i think it will, when I rent a car I don't take insurance, my agent told me that my insurance covers any car I drive

No, most likely not.
A rental car is a different story.

Dealer's. But you have to have a valid DL.
Test drive a new 3 or 5 series. Then go to Toyota dealer and test drive a new Camry. Curious if you see the difference.

Not really – I heard they will screw you up if something really happens…I have to do more research to find-out the TRUTH…
Camry – drove it couple of times from Hertz. Good car, but it’s tooooo f***ing BIG…I guess that SUV for chicks – Lexus RX 440 has a same platform, also Scion tC has that BIG ASS engine from Camry. I thought Lexus IS 250 is good, but has BIG ASS engine as well  (V6 damn it – don’t want to support sheikhs in UAE)

It's you responsibility.
In many luxury car dealerships they will make a copy of your insurance policy card before giving you the keys to a car.
Any vehicle you drive is your responsibility.
Be caerful at the used car dealership - mke sure the car you are test driving doesnt' have any visible scratches or dings.

Вы, наверное, создаёте впечатление человека с хорошим иншуренсом.
I never met a women who would get behnd a wheel of a car without a valid insurance policy. Unlike some men. Women have more common sense, maybe because they are lousy drivers.

"Есть женщины в русских селеньях" которые могут парковаться параллельно без нанесения видимого ушерба своей и окружаюшим машинам.
Но их мало.

Я лучше всего могу посоревноваться по кличеству выпитого пива и съеденных омаров.
У меня врождённый талант к этому виду спорта!

You can drive it but be prepared to pay 1,500$
You have to insure it on your name unless it on a family member or if you have a open claim then you must notify insurance claim adjuster about it. As well as having written agreement to be reimbursed for renter policy

Because they are to.... In English there is no word for it except for way-way-too-cheep(skupos't). Female nature is to find and save that Cent in any way ...... in Males Who care about it it's only a Cent as well as a Risk takers are only males and not a females.
Spaghetti/wind is there only common sense ;-) All the way
