Unsolicited e-mail

Here's the funny part: after signing up to this wonderful message board, I started getting spam in Russian even though I never had before in my life and the e-mail used here is supposed to be hidden from others to view. Was it possible that e-mails are not really hidden as we'd like to think or should I go as far as accusing Mr. Baraban of selling our confidential information to spammers? In other words WHAT THE HECK???

You know, I respect his choice of making money on this free service. However, there should be a warning of what we're committing ourselves to when signing up for it. I personally against unsolicited mail business and everybody who promotes it.

We do net sell anyone's email ever to anyone. We do net ever forward third party emails to anyone, ever. By signing up, you do agree to receive our own emails. All such emails are clearly identified as coming from a Baraban.Com company and provides clear and simple unsubscription instructions. Should you have any further questions on this matter, I would sincerely appreciate it if you asked me directly, or in this forum rather than starting an off-topic thread in Новости Дня and getting unqualified opinions of other forum participants.

P.S. An email from St. Petersburg has absolutely nothing to do with us.
